A special hybrid Lexus for Monaco
Prince Albert II of Monaco weds Ms Charlene Wittstock on Saturday the 2 of july. A full hybrid Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet drove the newlyweds through their principality.
Lexus was the official supplier of the 2011 Monegasque wedding. For special occasion, we need special devices. That’s why the Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet included on special feature: a one-piece transparent polycarbonate roof. The 8- millimetre thick, 26-kilogram roof is crafted out of a single piece of polycarbonate that is held in place with no pillars. The design allowed the royal couple to have an unobstructed view during the tour. The Lexus LS 600h L is equipped with a full hybrid system that allow the vehicle to drive the majority of the route in an electric, zero-emission driving mode.

Starting the tour from the Palace on the Rock, after traveling down to the harbour, they proceeded along Boulevard Albert I to Sainte-Devote Church. This wonderful one-of-a-kind Lexus hybrid will be on temporary display at the Media Centre in Monaco and then moved to the Oceanographic Museum.
